HERRIBLOK | DIMABLOKRocopolis

As a part of the Dimarock 08 competitions, there is one suited for every fan, where you can ”bloke” until get exhausted. This competition will take place along with Rocópolis. These are the regulations:

  1. HERRIBLOK: Very popular boulder competition, will take place between May 21th-24th at Dima.
  2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Anyone can join in the game, it only takes buying the credential card at the Rocopolis stand within Dimarock 08. The charge is only 3€.
  3. BLOKES: Eight of them will be available. Dani Andrada and Joseba Sáinz will routesettle them. Blokes will have different difficulty graduation, number 1 will be the easiest and number 8 the toughest.
  4. ATTEMPTS: You may attempt on each Bloke as many times as you like.
  5. COMPETITION DEVELOPMENT: Each participant will display on his/her card the succesfully solved blokes. There is no bonus, each bloke will count as resolved or not. Participants can use the same card along the four days competition. When the competitor eventually solves all the blokes, the card will be returned at the Rocopolis stand.
  6. AWARDS: There will be climbing material awards for the first thee men and women. Also, some more material will be assigned by drawing, all of the participants may win on the draw.

DIMABLOK

Among all of the new formats new to 2008 edition, the coolest one is Dimablok. The competition is as simple as really exciting.

  • Four mighty bloke specialist, face to face: Chris Sharma, Dani Andrada, Tomas Mrazek and Joseba Sainz.
  • Each one will settle is own bloke. 30 minutes is the time limit for it.
  • After that, the specialist will try to solve their rivals proposed routes.
  • Each bloke is 600 euros worth. This vale will be shared if more than one specialist can suceed (150€ for each one if all of them suceed).
  • Therefore, the maximum award available is 2.400€.

The competition demands huge strategy capabilities: An easy route will be surely solved by everyone, but if it’s too dificult maybe will be unaccesible even for the creator. Knowledge about the rivals is pretty useful in order to settle a technical or dynamic oriented route …

Dimablock is scheduled on Friday, May 23th 20:00 hours at Dima Fair area.
